Champlain College Students Raise Money for COTS during TENT CITY

Not in my backyard takes on new meaning when right outside my office window a "homeless" tent city has sprung up. Monday it began and today, Wednesday, there are clothes hanging up outside my window, cardboard everywhere, sleeping bags, tents, a central fire pit with chairs and bags.

$400 raised so far for COTS, 50+ students involved.

Here's a YouTube!

Kudos to these students who simulate homelessness to not just raise awareness but to learn and appreciate what the poor in our state and around the world go through. Here in Vermont as the temperature dips down, and we are seeing some of the highest heating prices in years, there a major challenges.
